There are just something about the Arkansas flag, perhaps it's the boldness of the red, white and blue colors.
Or the diamond shape design with "Arkansas" written inside. By the way, speaking of which, did you know that Arkansas has the only state flag where the state's name is written on it? Neat huh?
I have seen almost every state flag and I am not impressed with many of them,
and hardly any of them stand out whatsoever. To me, that speaks about Arkansas pride. Sure, people poke fun of Arkansas sometimes, but to me, this is a very special state.
I bought this flag at a gift shop in Eureka Springs, Arkansas during
my first visit to the state in 2005. There I was proudly holding it at a barbeque in Siloam Springs,
and amazingly, I did not get bit by even one mosquito while out there in good ol' Arkansas.
Today, seven months after I bought the Arkansas flag, it is hung proudly
in my bedroom. I love Arkansas. There's just something about it that stirs my heart!
